Driving Miss Mini

Here is an example of an afternoon with Miss Mini.

First, she puts on her nice dress and we go for a ride in the red convertible to go visit friends.

Then get read to

Then play bingo

Sit in laps and get petted by friends

But NO Pokemon or guns!

And then home to nap after such an exhausting afternoon.

Escape! Where there's a Rat Dog, there's a way.

I thought I was going senile; locking the pet gate but forgetting to put the dog in the kitchen.  Finally caught sneaky Sherbert in the act!

Now that she knows that I know she can get out, she does it in front of me without hesitation.  At Halloween this year, I thought the gate might distract her, but the first trick-or-treater was greeted with a doggie nose in her candy bucket!

Happy 2016!

It's 2016 and the pack is ready for the new year.

We had a great Christmas.  Mini had a cyst on her neck and had to wear a special collar.  She took advantage and made it into a festive accessory

Would you eat Dog Farts?

Do you kiss your dog on the mouth?  Then maybe you would like to eat Dog Farts!

My friend David has a wonderful blog post on eating dog farts and rotten fish.  It's not what you may be thinking.

And here's another video of the dog fart ride at Bon Bon Land.

It is absolutely ok to kiss your dog on the mouth.  But eating her farts?  Maybe not!

Double the Fun! Dogs in dresses and Rainbow Sherbert!

It was a fun weekend.  Saturday was Halloween.  Miss Mini put on her new Halloween/Dia de Muertos dress and went trick or treating.  No tricks, just lots of treats and cuddles. Dogs in clothes are always a bit hit at the nursing homes.

Sherbert turned two on Sunday.  I picked that day as her birthday.  Animal control told me she was 21 months when they got her, so I chose All Saints Day.  Her birthday treat? Rainbow Sherbet, of course!

The sherbet may be fat free, but after her birthday party, Sherbert isn't!

Sherbert!

Shoebert has been gone for about six weeks.  Yesterday, I found out about a rat terrier mix needing a home.  Today Sherbert joined the Rat Dog Pack.

Sad day for the Rat Dog Pack

Today we had to have Shoebert euthanized.  He was fifteen and had been in poor health.  The vet let me hold Shoebert the entire time.  First there was a shot to relax him.  After about ten minutes he was resting calmly in my arms.  Then he was given another shot that relaxed the muscles to the point that his heart stopped.  It was all painless to Shoebert. Goodbye, dear friend.  You were loved and will always be remembered.

Here are a few photos to remember him:
