Keeping warm!

I came home from work last week and found Shoebert's bed on the heat vent.  After putting it back, I found it on the vent the next day, too.  Shoebert is getting frail at age 14, so I thought that he had knocked it off while trying to get into the window sill.

That's assumption was proved wrong, when I saw Shoeby pull the bed down and place it near the heat vent.  He's old, he's lost much of his fur and he's gotten very thin from his repeated kidney infections.  It's no surprise that he likes snoozing on the heat vent when it's freezing outside.

Two for the price of one!

This year Mini added a sailor dress to her collection of costumes.  She wore it to one nursing home for Halloween and then to another for Veterans' Day.  She was a big hit both days, but it was clear that it was the veterans' celebration that her friends enjoyed the most.

I am blessed to be an American and blessed to have found Miss Mini.
